Lezron’s Legacy Fund
On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, our dear Lezron Dennison Defreitas passed away, in his homeland, Barbados.
Lezron was an incredible footballer (soccer), playing for multiple clubs in Barbados, including the senior national team. Even when his health did not permit him to play, he was dedicated to the sport and encouraged youth to develop their game and be focused.
In lieu of flowers, this legacy fund was created to support the donation of a pair of football boots each year to a youth in need in Barbados. Thank you for your contributions in advance.
We love you, Lezron. You are irreplaceable, and you are missed.

For the many dear friends and family who cannot be at this event in person, his memorial will be live streamed.
His viewing will begin at 1pm Barbados time, service from 2pm, and burial 3pm, in Barbados (noon viewing start Ottawa time, 1pm service and burial 2pm).
